It's a beautiful day...

By way of the Beltway, I walked from the Capitol to Pentagon City today, which (for those of you who don't live in the DC area) is really, really far. Before that, I stood shoulder-to-shoulder for five hours on the Mall with 1.9 million other people in 20-degree weather. Before that, I spent 2 hours on the Metro. And before that, I woke up at 4 am—a time of day I haven't seen since college.

It was a long day. It was a cold day. And it was, by far, one of the most exciting and proud days of my entire life. Welcome to Washington, Obamas!
